Customers & Success
Vance's Notebook:
Customers and Success
Everyone who starts or owns a small company wants to be successful. Success usually includes financial success, but can alternatively or collectively include the satisfaction that results from delivering legitimate value to your customers. In my career I have grown to accept that the most important gage of business success is the consistent creation of happy customers. Of course, generating consistent customer happiness while maintaining high profitability is a delicate balancing act. While customer satisfaction is crucial for building loyalty and attracting repeat business, profitability ensures the sustainability and growth of the company - you’ll need to manage the company in a fiscally sound matter, watching and controlling pricing, expenses, cost of sales etc., but if you do these things AND create happy customers you WILL be successful!
So, what’s the best way to create happy customers?
1. Deliver an exceptional product or service.
2. Stand by your product or service.
3. Identify Customer wants and needs – seek feedback – Implement what you learn.
4. Go above and beyond.
5. Make the business process easy and comfortable for your customers.
6. Train your employees
7. Do what you say you are going to do (link)
8. Help them solve their problems – even if it is not your fault.
Employee Engagement – Happy Employees Help Generate Happy Customers (link)
Happy employees have a significant impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty. When employees are satisfied, their positive attitudes and genuine care for the customers are palpable. They are more likely to provide exceptional service, go above and beyond to meet customer needs, and build strong relationships. Satisfied customers become brand advocates, recommending the company to others and contributing to growth through word-of-mouth marketing. The satisfaction derived from interactions with happy employees becomes an invaluable asset for a small company's growth, ensuring a steady stream of loyal customers.
